Charlie Boy (1980)

Charlie Boy Charlie Boy is actually an episode of the UK TV series, Hammer House of Horror. I didn’t know that going in. I just found an old VHS tape at a thrift ship and picked it up, because I always pick up odd looking horror VHS tapes whenever I get the chance. All I […]

Horror Castle (1963)

Horror Castle AKA: Das Schloss Des Gralens AKA: La vergine di Norimberga AKA: The Virgin of Nuremberg I decided I wanted to watch something a little different, so I turned to TCM, because while the mention of that station may bring forth mental images of Casablanca, truth be told, they play all sorts of shit. The Undertaker (1988) — Movie Reviews by a Mook

Ezra Cobb is a quiet, middle-aged man, who lives a rather solitary life caring for his ailing mother, a religious fanatic who raised him to be a misogynist. After a year of floundering and not knowing how to live without her, Ezra finally snaps under the pressure and goes to the cemetery to dig up her corpse. But a year of being underground has taken its toll, so to “mend” his still “ailing” mother, Ezra resorts to digging up corpses in an effort to reconstruct her decaying body. But finally having his mother back does nothing to ease Ezra’s loneliness, and as his delusions grow ever more severe he soon sets his sights on living, breathing victims.

It’s something you wouldn’t want your realtor to leave out of the […]

Black Rain (1989) — Movie Reviews by a Mook

Let’s be honest. If you looked that good sitting on a motorcycle while wearing shades with a bunch of Japanese signs behind you, you’d probably pose like this too. Michael Douglas knows. Shoot, he’s probably somewhere doing this right now. Damn right, he is. Nick Conklin is a New York City cop on the edge. […]

Ginger Snaps (2000)

Ginger Snaps is about sixteen year old Ginger and her fifteen year old sister Bridgette, two morbid, outcast, high-school students who spend their free time faking their own death and taking pictures of it. At least they have a sense of humor about it. The two of them are already appropriately miserable, snarky teens, when […]
